Windows 10: Friend or Foe?

If you have been thinking about upgrading or updating your system, right now is probably one of the best times to do it. If you already have a Windows 7 or 8 operating system, you will apparently have an upgrade available to get the newest Windows version, Windows 10. This new operating system may be released later this year.

As was discovered last year with support of the Windows XP operating system being discontinued by Microsoft, it is absolutely critical for computer security and performance to have an up-to-date OS. When support is dropped, computers will still continue to function, but in my opinion, risks to computer users and especially the risk identity theft, rises as time goes on, as it gets harder and harder to protect those old computers.

Much of the technical specifications have NOT been released on this new operating system, so there is a chance that some computers may need a memory or graphics upgrade to be able to run 10 smoothly. Older computer may need to be replaced completely, as it would simply be more cost effective.

Please have your computers checked over now to get them ready for what the future may bring. If you have purchased one of our newer WiLDRAB desktop systems, there is a good chance that your system can be very easily upgraded for Windows 10, if it even needs it at all. Most other newer systems should be easily upgradable as well, including laptop models.
